How many households can one wind turbine supply?
A 4 MW turbine at our sites generates about 13 GWh a year on average, equal to roughly 5,200 homes at 2.5 MWh per household.
Are turbines noisy?
Turbines are sited at least 500-1,000 m from homes. Noise is modelled to stay under 40 dBA by day at the nearest dwelling and verified by measurement during operation.
How can I tell if my land suits a wind project?
An annual average wind speed above 7 m/s, proximity to the grid and distance from settlements are the key criteria. Send your land details via the contact form; the initial assessment is free.
How is land rent determined?
Rent consists of a fixed annual fee per turbine plus a share linked to generation revenue, indexed to inflation. Most of the field stays in agricultural use.
What is the minimum consumption for a corporate PPA?
A physical PPA generally suits annual consumption of 5 GWh and above. For smaller consumers, YEK-G certificate supply is suitable.
What happens at the end of a turbine's life?
Turbines run for about 25 to 30 years. At end of life they are either replaced with new machines (repowering) or removed and the site restored. A decommissioning and restoration guarantee is set aside for every project.
Is your sustainability report independently assured?
Yes. Selected indicators are verified at limited assurance level by an independent assurance firm. The report and assurance statement are published on the Reports page.
Where do I send a CV for a career application?
Apply to a listing on the Careers page. If no position is open, send your CV to kariyer@kuzeyyel.com.tr; it is kept for two years.
