Ecological monitoring, noise and shadow flicker management, and landowner and village relations programmes.
Advisory contract
Environmental and community management is the social counterpart of a wind farm's operating licence. Our team includes an ornithologist, a bat specialist, environmental engineers and community liaison officers.
Ecological monitoring
- Three years of pre-construction monitoring, followed by seasonal collision surveys
- Radar and camera-based detection of migrating birds with automatic turbine shutdown during high-risk hours
- Curtailment at low wind speeds based on bat activity
Community and noise
Noise and shadow flicker are modelled for the dwellings closest to turbines and verified by measurement during operation. The complaints line is open 24/7 and replies are given within five working days.
We also advise other wind developers on post-EIA monitoring programmes and community liaison.
